Noahs Ark Children Crafts
The adventurous story of the Great Flood is better than ever as told through Noahs Ark children crafts. Kids are anxious to hear about this amazing Biblical happening, and then to retell it to others.
What's the best way to etch a memory into a child's mind? Create fun, hands-on activities. Discuss the story of Noah's Ark, and then begin building . . . as Noah did! Refer to Genesis, Chapters 6 through 9 for this enlightening story.
Depending on the age of your children, they can construct materials for Noah's Ark children crafts made from construction paper or from wood. They can cut and color patterns of all the different animals, two-by-two.
Use paper plates as the foundation of a personalized-size ark, or a large piece of butcher paper cut out in the shape of an ark for a larger exhibit. Remember to include the people who were with Noah as well.
For instance, you can provide an easy pattern for the kids to cut out a couple of flying doves. Materials needed are: construction paper, colors, glue, scissors, and a small square of tissue paper. Wiggly eyes are optional. The simple steps are:
- Color the pattern of the dove.
- Cut it out of the construction paper.
- Add small wiggly eyes if you choose (or simply color them in).
- Make a slit in the construction paper where the bird's wings would be located.
- Fold the tissue paper accordion style.
- Place the tissue paper through the slit for wings.
This cut-out craft can be used as a hanging mobile by hanging the doves on crisscrossed straws.
Learning should be fun! Create cutouts of animals suggested by your children, and make the sounds for each animal. Discuss God's plan for Noah, and bring it all together with imagination-filled Noahs Ark children crafts!
