Nativity Children Crafts
Light the season with Nativity children crafts; help youngsters understand the meaning of Christmas and how it pertains to the rest of the year as well.
Do you have little tykes or eager teens? Whatever age range blesses your household, you can put together all kinds of goodies for Nativity children crafts. Just think, maybe this could become a neighborhood tradition!
Let's look at some suggestions:
Smaller children will be excited to make cutouts for a re-enactment of the manger scene. They can use dull scissors to cut around pre-made patterns, and then color the patterns to their hearts' desire. They can use colored construction paper and a bit of glue for beautiful jewels.
Ask your child questions to stimulate their imagination. What do THEY think would go well with a nativity theme? Maybe one of their favorite, fuzzy, stuffed animals? perhaps a donkey? Animal sounds will be plenty of fun to add to the mix!
Older kids will enjoy crafting objects on a larger scale. Simply look around the house for pieces of fabric or clothing that can be adjusted, and check in the garage for a couple of pieces of lumber for the manger. Maybe your critter companions can play a part too!
Parents and older teens will be able to tie the crafts in with the special message that's delivered through the nativity scene. When instructing young children, repetition is a good thing, so it's important to repeat meaningful messages multiple times.
However you choose to create your Nativity children crafts, make sure the young people are involved in the message as well as the mechanics!
