Chain Link Children Crafts:Unique and Fun to Build

Chain link children crafts are easy to make, and exciting for your little tykes.
Do you recall those countless round, little, paper links you made as a child when you were in kindergarten and elementary school? Not only was it fun, but now you can put your talent to work teaching counting to your very young kiddos, and subtraction to your elementary school kids.
This project is very simple to do! All you need for supplies are: construction paper, paper-cutting scissors, glue stick or stapler, and maybe a calendar. (The calendar comes in handy when you're making special chain link children crafts that count down to a holiday or any other highly anticipated event, such as a birthday.)
Simply cut strips of construction paper about one to two inches wide and five to six inches long.
Here are some suggestions for adding some excitement to your chains:
- Number strips for a birthday countdown.
- Color links for Easter.
- Write special verses in each link for Sunday school.
- Use green and red construction paper for Christmas.
Actually, the list of possibilities is endless.
If your links are to be used to count down to an event, have your kids take turns tearing off one link per day leading up to the big day. Or you might hang the colored or patterned links around your home for added decoration, or use them as a garland for your Christmas tree.
Paper dolls can be made as a chain also. After they are cut, your children may fashion each doll to their hearts' content.
Creative chain link children crafts are terrific to make for school, home, or church.
Is your little one learning to count? Have your youngster gently tear off one chain per day. For this, it's best to have a preset amount of links so you can remember where you started!
